Hydrogen Aviation Begins on the Ground

Aircraft need power to fly, but they also need power during ground operations.  Without having to change anything on board an aircraft, H3 Dynamics devised the first hydrogen-electric systems with the capability of supporting the ground power supply requirements of Airbus A320 as an alternative to burning tons of diesel at airport gates around the world.

Hydrogen-Electric Ground Support Equipment (GSEs)

H3 Dynamics is applying its fuel cell powertrain know-how to build zero emission airport GSEs as a way to jumpstart a working "hub and spoke" hydrogen supply model within an airport environment.

Ensuring that the whole economic and logistics model is feasible for both green hydrogen and SAF at scale, is a fundamental challenge for the entire sustainable aviation value chain.

Diesel ground power unit emissions contribution among all other GSEs

Our first GSE conversion program is focusing on the GPU as the largest energy consuming GSE in an airport, one where the power requirement is high, and the utilisation is all day, every day.

Hydrogen-Electric Ground Power Units (GPUs)

Our goal is to replace diesel generators to decarbonise aircraft ground operations in airports all around the world

In order to achieve this, we need a competitively priced power unit along with competitively priced green hydrogen. As a combined eco-system, our on-site hydrogen electrolyzers, GW-scale fuel cell supply chain and our airport eco-system partners are making it happen.

Modular systems open to various hydrogen storage solutions

Plug-in modular units help ensure an efficient hydrogen fuel logistics chain within the airport, while also keeping options open for different hydrogen storage methods and suppliers around the world.
